Keeping
Up Your Spirits also After 50;
Consider your lifestyle, health, fitness & wellbeing
What
kind of lifestyle do you follow? Do you consider
yourself young even if you are already after 50? Do
you sometimes ask yourself whether you are
capable and fit enough being 50 plus for
certain activities or
even if they
suit your age
and social position? Do you worry about your health?
The famous French writer, Victor Hugo said that forty is the old age of
youth and fifty is the youth of old age.
In
our childhood we wanted to grow up fast, we wanted to do the things
that adults do. We didn't want to be told what to do anymore. Health,
fitness and wellness were not at
the top of our concerns.
Now that we are mature enough and
can control our actions, we
have
the ability to make better choices. There's no going backwards but
forwards and no other way but to do it
better.
Most
people over fifty are concerned about their wellness. Many
face
common challenges such as supporting their offspring or their elderly
parents living nearby while others miss their kids that have just left
their nest looking for their
destiny.
Some may have more time for leisure and are looking for
alternative activities; others face some medical worries…
Life expectancy is up and the estimated
lifespan in the U.S. is up to 77.5-80. It is estimated that over 25% of
the
entire U.S. populations of 300 million is now over 50.
This means that there is greater demand for quality of life
and
effective healthier products to
keep us in good shape and help us in choosing our lifestyle. Being after
50 is no more considered as
old.
