Our family and home security and safety is one of our main concerns.


Therefore we have been paying our life insurance and health insurance for years, and also insured our property against earthquake, floods and other natural disasters but will it compensate us for the real loss? What about physical damages and mental injuries which will remain forever?

According to the NCVS (The National Crime Victimization Survey), property crimes were experienced by 13.5% households in the U.S. during 2008 and also property crime rates declined by 8.1% between 2007 and 2008.

 
Living In a daily growing crimes commission environment who can really make sure that we are safe and secured enough? Home security is becoming a real issue. 

Coming back home and finding the door broken and a total mess and the fact that someone took the liberty to break into our own privacy or sleeping well at night and finding out as you wake in the morning that you had an unexpected visitor is not a pleasant feeling, with understatement. Or finding that a fire broke out and destroyed our property out of which some can never be recovered….

Wouldn't it be better if we prepared to prevent rather than cure?

Burglar's three enemies are: light, time and noise. Best chances that intruders wouldn't find your home as an easy target if he would be forced workings in light, or if he estimates that he'd need long time for breaking in or if his work could make too much noise that might attract attention.

A watch dog may be a good solution for your home security if you own one, but it would be good enough if you installed any devices or systems that might hold burglars back. There are various inexpensive systems and solutions that can prevent us from facing such situations. Some of them are DIY sort of. 

External door locks, window security bars or any other foreseeable protection that will be noticeable will make him move away.

Installing an alarm system including volume detectors that put the alarm on if the burglar was sophisticated enough to by-pass your anti invasion system and stikcing a warning advice sign on your doors is also considerable.

Fire alarms and smoke and gas detectors that you can easily install may give you a better filling and peace in mind and complete your solution.

There is also various in-house and outdoor surveillance systems that can help you in protecting your property.   

In any case, remember that an open loophole or open door tempts the thief.

There's no need to panic but taking the right measures in advance in order to avoid any disappointment later.
