Tanzania
is much less commercialized due to sensible conservation policy. Go
there in search for endless savannas, traveling into the dense tropical
forests, diving under the sea to watch the colorful coral reefs and
watch the Serengeti reserve protected herds.

October.
South
Africa is perhaps the most diverse country in Africa. Large nature
reserves, colorful tribes, rich world of birds, diverse landscapes,
from high mountains, through canyons, rivers and waterfalls, to the
Kalahari Desert adventure trails.
Best time to go is the dry seasons which is July - October.
It might be a little expensive than what you thought but it worth the
experience.
