Yoga for better quality of life

Originally, yoga is a spiritual and physical way of life based on Indian philosophy. Over the years therapy has been developed in order to address problems resulting from modern lifestyle.

Therapeutic yoga brings self-healing powers back to balance and eliminates the dependency on external effects and materials.

Practicing on regular basis releases the negative impacts of stress from our body, helps to relieve depression and anxiety, coping better with stress, helps reduce high blood pressure, slows down the aging of cells, helps in slimming and body shaping, increases your confidence, and improve interpersonal communication skills. These are achieved by practicing poses and breathing techniques.

Yoga poses called asanas concentrate in body building, strengthening and improving body posture. Practicing poses will help in spinal relaxation and create a more effective blood flow to body organs and therefore create a healthier body.

Practicing breathing techniques (called pranayama) and meditation (dyana) will help trainees to achieve clear and bright thinking.

We Westerners care too much for our look and the appearances while yoga focuses on inner harmony and health, control of the nervous system and not muscle and phiz development, saving energy reinforce potency. Through the effort almost entirely within the body, the first changes apply in the outer form.Body weight will increase or decrease depending on the individual's normal needs.

As ordinary slimming treatments often cause decline in human energy, body resistance against disease and physical abilities and also sometimes harms body health, yoga practice develops energy and controls body weight.

Many problems stem from lack of physical activity in adult age which creates temporal disconnection between brain and body which leads for physical problems such as slow spontaneous reaction or lack in coordination. Practicing  improves blood circulation, makes muscles more flexible, lubricates joints, draws our attention for performing plenary breathing, strengthens mental and physical balance, develops relaxation abilities, massages internal organs and strengthens positive thinking.

Starting practice at an advanced age should be executed gradually and gently. Therefore we should have the patience and be persistent as it might take a while to achieve the desired results. It is the same process if you train on the mattress or chair.

Physical workout increases the awareness to physical condition. At this age there are quite a few limitations and many suffer pains in different places. Sometimes you can't even point out where the pains come from as or tension influence the entire region of the body. Practicing various poses and breathing may increase our observation and the ability to deal with the problem.

In many cases the movement itself may bring the cure. Opening of an energy channel for a flow can lead for a pain relief or focused breathing can ease the tension in this infected place.

Try it and see how it works for you, whether it has any good influence on your body and daily life. There are group trainings or individual trainings and many different approaches, all aiming for the same purpose, and decide yourself.
